Carrie Free is a senior human resource professional specializing in hyper-growth and startup companies, which includes small to medium size businesses. Throughout her career, she has successfully developed and managed high-performing, compliant, and people-focused teams, including implementing and managing several new human resource departments.

Carrie began her HR career in the banking industry, moving into the card payment processing, financial technology sector, and then into the medical area. Before starting HR1 Consulting LLC, she held several human resource leadership positions providing alliance in project and strategic planning, and talent management.

Carrie holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and Leadership from Friends University and a Certificate of Human Resource Management from Wichita State University, both located in Wichita, Kansas. She is a member of The Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) for both local chapter and national levels. Carrie is a member of the Wichita Human Capital Council (WHCC) and recently joined the board for AdvisoryCloud as an advisor.

Carrie enjoys spending time with family, horse-back riding, and traveling. Giving time for charitable community events and working collaboratively with area businesses, colleagues and to share knowledge with human resource interns is a strong passion of Carrie’s.
